Join Our Board
OFMA seeks volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors and Committees.
Our organization has grown over the last few years and we’re excited to work with folks who share in our love of food, agriculture and community building.
No previous board experience is required. We are a fun, supportive, and innovative group with a variety of professional and personal backgrounds – we welcome fresh ideas and perspectives and are happy to have folks join us who are excited to learn and share.
Please read our Values and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement to be sure you’re in alignment with our organizational priorities and commitments.
As an anti-racist organization, OFMA is committed to having our staff, Board of Directors, and Committees reflect the diversity of the many communities impacted by farmers markets. This includes expanding the make-up of our currently majority-white Board to include Black people, Indigenous people and People of Color.
To reduce barriers to participation, OFMA offers stipends and reimbursements when childcare, food, transportation/travel, technology, or other expenses might create challenges to Board service.
In addition to Board members, we are also seeking to fill positions on our Fundraising/Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Advocacy/Policy, and Membership Committees.
